is the Love Child of Robert Hayden and Federico García Lorca.
Holy cow that looks awesome. It didn't say anywhere how and when we could see the movie, though...
Hottie of the week
I definitely want to see this film. I was always--and still am--a fan of Levis' work ("Sensationalism" is one of my favorite poems by anyone who ever breathed on the planet). I was fortunate to have met him before at Phil Levine's house (he had driven many hours straight from Salt Lake City to Fresno) and seemed a bit weary from the drive but glad to have gotten to his destination. Years after his death, I accidently met his sister at a literature conference in Sacramento; I was on a panel of poets talking about how the Valley informed our writings, and I read one of Levis' poems to the crowd. Afterwards, his sister walked up to me and introduced herself and thanked me for reading his poem. I didn't even know she was there, so you can imagine my sense of fate, not coincidence, that she and I were both there if only for the purpose of my reading her brother's poem in her presence.
