I leave Hall Farm on Saturday. But my flight doesn't leave until Sunday morning.
Another resident is going to drive me to Boston. I reserved a room for Saturday night at the Hotel @ MIT, which is very close to Harvard Square.
I've never been to Harvard Square. What sites and stores would you recommend?
is the Love Child of Robert Hayden and Federico GarcĂa Lorca.

The Harvard Book Store (unaffiliated) at the corner of Mass Ave. & Plympton St. has the largest selection of poetry journals I've ever seen. The Grolier Poetry Book Shop is around the corner, but I have no idea what it's like (or whether it will be open) under the new owners.
The Algiers Coffeehouse on Brattle and the Casa Blanca for ambiance. Brattle Theater for an indie flick. In the Square you are walking distance from some of Harvard's best museums - the Sackler, the Busch-Reisinger and the Fogg. Record shopping at Newbury Comics upstairs at The Garage. Finale for fine wine and desserts. Cardullo's for deli sandwiches.
Save some time to watch the goings-on of "the pit" which you'll notice (probably swamped with kids and performers and by-standers) is right outside the T-Station. It is ...well, a pit. People congregate there and it's great fun to just people-watch. During the day. Not so much at night.
I was going to mention the Fogg too. I was there quite a few years ago and had fun walking around, though it's hard to remember the specifics now (getting old). Have fun!
oye -- I need your help recommending sexy poets....
email me back.
